DirectorySizer For Windows
The traditional way to determine the size of a directory tree is a recursive directory scan.
This is an inefficient method when running across a network or WAN as the network traffic is proportional to the number of files in the directory tree.
DirectorySizer is a service that can be installed on any Windows server that will then process directory size requests using just a few packets. The response time is must faster and the load on the servers and network is significantly less.
DirectorySizer is designed to be used in conjunction with our Windows disk management tools - e.g. SpaceCheck. These tools will automatically detect the presence of Directory Sizer and use it if it is present.
If Directory Sizer is not present, these tools will fall back to the traditional method of determining space.
There is no specific download or purchasing screens for Directory Sizer. It is included as part of the installation packages of any of the tools that can use it.
